Govt commits US$2.5m to informal sector formalisation

The Minister proposed to ring-fence US$2.5 million of the US$5 million (which is) projected to be raised from presumptive taxes during the 2018 fiscal year towards support of initiatives to facilitate transition of informal traders and vendors to formal businesses. The remaining US$2.5 million will be channelled towards on lending to SMEs.
