IDBZ to develop residential stands

IDBZ intends to develop residential stands for accommodation earmarked for Gwanda, Spitzkop and Plumtree towns. IDBZ will construct 1299 housing units with Gwanda Doelfontein and Spitzkop earmarked for 1000 and 133 high density units respectively whilst a low density suburb with 166 units will be constructed in Plumtree.

Bank spends $20 million on residential projects

The Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe (IDBZ) has spent $20 million in six months to June 30, 2018, on residential projects in Kariba and Hwange. Of the total amount, $14,8 million was utilised for the Baobab, Kasese and Batonga projects in Kariba while $5,8 million was utilised for Empumalanga housing project in Hwange. Last year, IDBZ said it raised $26,6 million for various housing projects in the country, as part of efforts to push towards fulfilling its mandate of infrastructure funding. Some of the major housing projects it has delivered include the New Marimba housing project in Harare which has delivered 357 high density residential stands. In Masvingo, progress has also been made on Clipsham housing project which delivered 704 low density stands as well as 69 commercial and institutional stands.

IDBZ acquires 100 hectares for housing

DBZ has concluded the acquisition of 100 hectares o land across the Masvingo-Beitbridge highway for the development of housing projects-Clipsham View Phase II. Some of the areas earmarked for the housing projects include Harare where 370 stands will be serviced, Kariba which will deliver in excess of 1000 stands while Hwange will have 1000 stands in Empumalanga suburb.
