Charles Prince Airport makeover begins

The makeover of Charles Prince Airport has begun, as Government heightens efforts to build a new modern city in Mount Hampden. It is envisaged that the project would enable the airport to land short- to medium-range narrow-body airliners such as the Boeing 737. Government has started revamping the airport, with the runway almost done.

Air Zim resuscitation begins

The resuscitation of Air Zimbabwe has started in earnest following the commencement of work by a Government appointed administrator to superintend over the national airline’s revival, a Cabinet Minister has said. Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Joel Biggie Matiza said Government had appointed Mr Reggie Saruchera of Grant Thornton Chartered Accountants as an administrator to revive Air Zimbabwe in terms of Reconstruction of State Indebted and Insolvency Companies Act.
